Alpha Ecosystem Chardonnay Tramonto, 13.5%, 0.75 L
Classification – dry white wine, PGI Florina.
Grape variety – Chardonnay 100%.
Vineyard – single block “Tramonto”, 1.99 ha, on the Amyndeon plateau at 648 m, with northwestern exposure toward Mount Voras. Sandy clay loam over limestone conglomerates provides good drainage.
Vinification – destemming, optical grape sorting and light crushing, followed by low-temperature skin contact under inert atmosphere. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in fine-grained, white-toasted Bertrange and Jupille oak barriques, with regular stirring on the fine lees. The wine remains in the same oak for up to 7 months.
Appearance – brilliant light yellow with greenish hints.
Aroma – intense and rich, with citrus, white stone fruit, pear and subtle oak.
Palate – full and creamy, with excellent balance, freshness and finesse. The finish is long and persistent.
Food pairing – white meats in creamy sauces, roasted vegetables, sweetbreads, grilled fish with white sauces and smoked fish.
Serving temperature – 13 °C.
