Vineyard – estate-owned vineyards surrounding the winery in Koutsi, Nemea, at approximately 580 m.
Vinification – traditional red vinification followed by 18 months of maturation in French oak barrels, 65% of them new 225 L barrels, and a further 24 months of bottle aging.
Appearance – deep ruby with subtle violet hints.
Aroma – raspberry, black cherry and cassis, with vanilla, spice, bay leaf and violet.
Palate – velvety and balanced, with silky tannins, elegant acidity and an oak-aged bouquet of licorice, nutmeg and chocolate leading to a long finish.
Food pairing – red meats, braised meat in tomato sauce, roast lamb, pork shank, Peking duck, mature cheeses and spicy cured meats.
Serving temperature – 15–16 °C.
