Hatzimichalis Syrah Drisbay Vineyard, 15%, 0.75 L

Classification – dry red wine, PGI Atalanti Valley.

Grape variety – Syrah 100%.

Vineyard – selected single vineyard “Drisbay” on the southeastern slopes of Mount Knimis, at approximately 250 m above sea level. The vineyard is not irrigated.

Vinification – classic red vinification under controlled conditions, followed by 12 months of maturation in 228 L French oak barriques.

Appearance – deep red with purple hues.

Aroma – black fruit aromas of blueberry and blackberry, with black pepper, leather, olive and cedar.

Palate – complex and structured, with jammy dark fruit, sweet spices and savory notes, medium acidity, firm tannins and a long peppery finish.

Food pairing – grilled meats, filet mignon with black pepper sauce, barbecue pork chops, roasted lamb, wild boar, sausages, kebab and cured meats.

Serving temperature – 15–18 °C.
