Classification – dry red wine, PGI Atalanti Valley.
Grape variety – Cabernet Sauvignon 100%.
Vineyard – selected privately owned vineyards of Domaine Hatzimichalis in the Atalanti Valley, Central Greece, including some of the estate’s oldest vines, planted approximately 40 years ago.
Vinification – classic red vinification under controlled temperature, followed by 12 months of maturation in a combination of new and used French oak barrels.
Appearance – deep ruby.
Aroma – pronounced black fruit aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and plum, with green bell pepper, eucalyptus and vanilla.
Palate – full-bodied and structured, with high acidity, firm tannins and layers of fruit, savory notes and oak leading to a long finish.
Food pairing – T-bone and ribeye steaks, roasted lamb, lamb chops, pork steak, meatballs and pork or lamb gyros.
Serving temperature – 15–18 °C.
